The battery enclosure has arrived!

Another big step towards getting the Mooventure moving occurred this week, the battery enclosure was picked up from our friends at Engineered Metal Products. This aluminum case will house the battery in the trunk of the Mooventure. We would like to thank EMP for doing such a great job on this crucial part and for their continued support of our team.

Wisconsin Corn and Soy Expo 2017

We had a blast talking to people about what we do at The Wisconsin Corn and Soy Expo in the Wisconsin Dells last week. We shared our booth with the other Wisconsin SAE teams including @wisconsinracing whose car was on display! A big thank you to The Wisconsin Corn Promotion Board and The United Wisconsin Grain Producers for supporting our team.

New Apparel by Mark It

Big THANK YOU to the kind and talented people at Mark It (formally AUDS N ENDS), located in Mount Horeb, WI, for their work on the team’s new apparel! We are very happy with the final products, so if you are looking for custom embroidery, screen printing, and/or promotional items for any occasion, make sure to contact Mark It.

The Engine is Out!

We tore the engine, exhaust, and more out of the Mooventure. This is the start of transitioning this 2009 Ford Escape into a fully electric SUV! Next step is to dismantle the engine so our members can get their hands dirty and learn a thing or two about engines!
